Prescription drug for free

Well we all know that nothing is free in this world. But with some wise decision; I was able to make my prescription drug effectively for free.

My Scenario: I have been suffering from this chronic illness past few years. No cure for this illness has been discovered yet. The medicine only helps manage controls some of the ill effects of the illness. So I end up consuming my prescription every day. I have Five prescription drug; and after insurance it cost me total of $100 each month.

My Modus operandi:
1. I had 8 credit cards and I used all my credit cards equally.
2. I change this; and started using only using my Discover Card
3. I started using Discover Card for my routine grocery, restaurant, fast-food, for my auto insurance; for gas, clothes, utility…. In short for each and every thing.
4. My total household expenditure each month was $2000.
5. You see I don’t spend much; but every-day item needs to be purchased.
6. And Discover Card has this amazing program of 5% cash back on all purchase made.
7. So I end-up in accumulating about $100 each month in cash back.
8. On Discover Card website; cash-back was used to purchase CVS Pharmacy gift certificate.
9. I pay for my prescription using CVS Pharmacy gift certificate
10. Thus I get my prescription drug for free.

Net Result:
1. I am doing this past few years and I am able to save about $1200 each year.
2. Yes $1200 of extra tax free income.
3. This is a simple method to save money; in these times of recession.
